Musical instruments
The Royal Quartet by Antonio Stradivarius stands out as completely unique
The collection consists of musical instruments and other mechanical apparatus and devices for making music, with their stands. There is a total of 379 objects from the 16th to the 20th century, distributed amongst all the Royal Sites and Patronages. Despite their small number, they include works of outstanding quality and of great cultural and musical value. These musical treasures provide an insight into the tastes and fashions that prevailed at the Spanish Court, from the 16th century to the first third of the 20th century, as the collection ends with the latest additions during the time of Alfonso XIII.
