Monastery of Santa Maria la Real de las Huelgas

Discover

A church, cloisters, chapels and gardens form an exceptional example of Mudejar art in this Romanesque monastic complex. Between their battles with the Almohads, future kings were knighted, crowned and buried here. This is the Monastery of Santa María la Real de las Huelgas.

This is the main female Cistercian monastery in Spain and head of all those that were installed in the Crown of Castile
